MOSAIC METROPOLIS

Mosaic Metropolis explores how Australian cities can better respond to increasing cultural and ethnic diversity through more inclusive urban design. The report critiques the persistence of homogeneous, Western-centred planning approaches and examines local and international precedents to identify strategies such as community participation, cultural representation and adaptable public spaces. It argues for cities that more meaningfully reflect the identities, traditions and everyday needs of the communities who inhabit them.
